About the Book

111 practices to quiet the noise, hear your inner voice and bring more peace and meaning into ordinary days.

If your soul has been asking for more of your attention but you’re not sure how to answer, Come Home to Your Light offers a way home.

Meditations, breathwork, visualisations, journal prompts, affirmations, chakra work, simple rituals and a soundtrack to carry you inward.

Inspired by great spiritual teachers, from Thich Nhat Hanh and Pema Chödrön to Eckhart Tolle, Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer and Joe Dispenza, and shaped by decades on the spiritual path.

No equipment, no experience, no hour of silence required. Some practices take two minutes. Others reach further. Whatever you believe, or don’t, they ask nothing of you but a few honest minutes.

A single thread runs through all 111. You are not a body with a soul but a soul living a human life, and the guidance you are seeking is already within you.

Read it cover to cover, follow what calls to you, or simply open it anywhere and trust what you find. These pages meet you exactly where you are.

You are already whole.

Come home to your light, one small practice at a time.

Book Excerpt

From section 1, Open Your Day (two practices to begin the morning)

Let the first few moments of the day be yours.

Most mornings the phone lights up, the list begins, and you’re answering before you’ve properly woken. Your mind is still slow and receptive in these first minutes. Before you get up, pause. Before the world tells you who to be, return to who you already are.

PRACTICE: What Would Feel Good?

Ask your intuition: What would feel good to me now? The answer is usually the first thing you notice, before the reasoning starts. It might be yoga, a workout, a meditation, a glass of water, or a little longer under the covers. Let yourself be guided. Trust what comes. If nothing does straight away, ask again.

PRACTICE: Open Inward

• Stay in the stillness of the morning for a moment. Don’t rush into your day just yet.
• Ask yourself: How do I want to move through the world today?
• Choose one word for it. Calm. Kind. Patient. Energised.
• Take three deep breaths. On each inhale, breathe the word in. On each exhale, let it settle into your bones.
• Bring to mind one moment you’re expecting today: a meeting, a school run, a conversation you’d rather avoid. Imagine meeting it with your word.

Instead of reacting to whatever the day brings, you decide, in advance, the frequency you’ll carry. Set with intention, a single word can shape the whole day.

About the Author

Evelyn Mary writes about the quiet work of coming home to yourself. A writer and teacher, she has spent decades on the spiritual path, gathering and living the practices in Come Home to Your Light long before she thought of sharing them. She studied philosophy and English literature, though it was metaphysics, with its questions about what we are and what lies beneath the visible world, that excited her most.

Her writing has appeared in Spirit of Change Magazine and The Tattooed Buddha.

Evelyn lives by the sea in Spain, where the water, the open air and long hours in nature are woven through everything she creates.
